Omanaia were first to kick off their Graduation event on the 11th of December at 12 pm, after school prize giving and a special visit from Santa bearing many gifts we celebrated 5 whanau completing the CiH training.  There were many envious families at the event which prompted me to offer the school a further 5 families for Term 1 2014 which the Principal, Luke Hiki eagerly accepted.  As Opononi Area School will not be able to fill all the spaces allocated to them we had a few spare.  All 5 whanau opted for the internet with one unfortunate being put on an especially long waiter and there was a lot of excitement around getting the computers home for the holiday season.

Pakaraka School held their graduation on the 13th of December at 12 pm to graduate 5 families.  We had a very special guest attend, Mayor John Carter who joined in with the celebrations and talked to the group about the importance of technology for young and old and having the skill to use it.  We were all so pleased he was able to join us.  The Principal, Vee Singh was event photographer but also had an enthusiasm for technical knowledge which he shared with the group.  Robina Rihari, the tutor and teacher of the school put on a great day for us all.
