I hope you have all had a fantastic holiday period. We sure have!
We had such a busy year in 2015, we graduated 170 families from the Computers in Homes Programme! And that is just in our region, here in the Far North.
This term I will be concentrating on getting in touch with our families that are coming the the end of their 1 year support with us and making sure they are all on track to continue with their PC's at home without us.
Another focus of ours will be on getting our families in the Umawera/Mangamuka/Oakihau area connected to our fibre connection that we have made available thanks to additional funding we applied for and have utilised from various funders. A huge thanks to Okaihau Primary School and Umawera Primary School for helping us make this happen.
Once Term 2 rolls around we are hoping to be back in action with CiH in the schools and also with our Community Centre Training at the Te Ahu Centre in Kaitaia. We already have a large waiting list of both schools and individuals waiting to take part so please register you interest with me if you haven't already and we will get to you as soon as we can.
Stepping UP is again in full swing this year at Kaitaia Library and at Kerikeri Proctor Library, registrations are coming in thick and fast so if you wish to registers for free computer training at either of these venues please visit www.steppingup.org.nz.
Wishing you all the best for all those starting back at school next week.
